Combining lodge to lodge trekking in the Himalayan foothills, rafting on the Trisuli River and exploring the wildlife of Chitwan National Park, this is a perfect introduction to Nepal's spectacular and diverse landscapes, flora and fauna.

The tour includes five days of hiking in the mid elevation hills with impressive views of Mount Annapurna, Manaslu and the majestic peak of Machhapuchare also known as the Fish Tail Mountain. The walk passes through a diverse range of climate zones, cultures and flora varying from lush vegetation of the tropical and temperate forests to the terraced rice fields. The land and the people change as the elevation varies giving you an introduction to the diversity of Nepal's culture and beauty.

Thatched roofed houses set amongst terraced fields make an attractive scene with the backdrop of the magnificent snow ranges of Annapurna, Manaslu and Dhaulagiri and the Machapuchare (Fish Tail) mountains.

The walking is not difficult and we have set this trip to be flexible so one can enjoy the beauty of the area at your own walking pace and rhythm. The high point is Deurali at 2,210 meter and you will pass through a number of villages along the route. The trail begins at the rim of the Pokhara Valley and the first section passes through lush green hill country typical of the heartland of Nepal.

From the mountains we drift on our rafts through the Trisuli River's subtropical green canyons. Finally, before heading back to Kathmandu we explore Chitwan National Park for birding and wildlife viewing from our resort base within the reserve.
